Propellant grain igniter testing for ramjet combustion chambers.
  • Supervisor: Mrs Sunita Devi Jena ; Scientist ‘G’, DRDO

  • Analysed fuel rich grain based igniter configuration and did its performance evaluation for use in ramjet engine combustion chamber. Devised and tested the magnesium based propellant grain igniter in stand alone/ramjet mode testing. Validated using NASA CEA. Evaluated a new configuration of propellant grain to ensure reliable combustion and prepared chamber pressure - burn time graphs
